Planting instructions
Step 1:
Add the LECHUZA-PON plant substrate (included with the pot) as a drainage layer in the base of the pot. This is important so that the water will be transported from the reservoir to the plant. Then add a layer of ORCHIDPON into the container so that your plant will reach the correct height in the container. When using the ORCHIDEA orchid container, please use ORCHIDPON.
Step 2:
Remove all old soil, bark or moss from the roots of your orchid. Then place the orchid in the container on top of the ORCHIDPON layer.
Step 3:
Fill the container around the plant completely with ORCHIDPON, using the PON scoop.Tap the container lightly several times to ensure that the orchid roots make contact with the substrate all round.
Step 4:
Water the orchid from above, directly onto the substrate. Orchids should always be watered sparingly. ORCHIDPON stores water and nutrients so that your plants are supplied with moisture even with longer watering intervals. For containers with a LECHUZA irrigation system, it is essential to observe a long dry phase of up to 4 weeksbefore watering again.
