No more guessing when watering! The PON moisture meter reliably shows you when your plant needs water in the planting substrate. Thanks to innovative technology, the PON moisture meter detects the optimal moisture range and changes color accordingly. It can be used for all plant substrates, as it measures reliably in soil, mineral substrates, and mixtures. Especially in mineral plant substrates such as PON, it provides a precise watering indicator, thus protecting against drought stress and root rot.
Particularly practical: the indicator can remain permanently in the substrate and thus function as a watering indicator. Suitable for all plants. Can be used indoors and outdoors. Does not require batteries or other energy sources.
How it works: Simply insert the indicator 2 to 3 cm deep into the substrate, water and observe the color of the indicator: The indicator changes color within 20 to 30 minutes after initial insertion: Blue means that the plant is sufficiently watered. White indicates that the plant needs to be watered. The lower opening of the indicator must be completely covered with substrate, while the upper opening must remain outside.
Note: Please do not remove or turn to read. The measuring stick is left permanently in the substrate and functions as a water level indicator thanks to a colored cotton core. We recommend replacing the watering indicator after 6-9 months.

- Moisten the indicator: If you want to use the indicator in moist substrate for the first time, it is advisable to water it before use. To do this, place it in a glass of water for approx. 20 minutes. As soon as the indicator turns blue, the moisture meter can be inserted into the moist substrate.
- Watering frequency according to the seasons: Your plant will evaporate more water in hot summers, and this also applies to sunny locations or heated rooms in winter. Plants in such locations therefore need to be watered more frequently. You can see from the indicator whether your plant needs watering again.
