How to measure correctly:
Insert the indicator rod into the soil around the root ball to see if your plant has enough moisture. Please read the value while the measuring rod is still in the soil and then remove the indicator from the soil. It is not necessary to leave the Soil Moisture Meter in the soil any longer.
The scale indicates:
- Red = the soil is too dry, watering is required
- Green = the soil is sufficiently moist, your plant is well cared for
- Blue = the soil is wet, the plant needs a break from watering
In combination with LECHUZA planters, the Soil Moisture Meter helps you to determine the dry phase of your plant accurately. This is particularly useful if, for example, you are using a large planter, the plant has not yet grown in properly, or you cannot determine the moisture level based on the surface of the substrate. But even without an irrigation system, you can easily control the moisture supply to your plants.
By measuring regularly, you can easily prevent your plants from being under- or over-watered. The PON Soil Moisture Meter is ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. With a total length of around 26 cm, you can even use it to measure the moisture content of large potted plants. No batteries are required for use.
Moisture Meter
- Prevents under- or over-watering
- Easy to read soil moisture
- Easy to use
- Suitable for any plant in potting soil
- For indoor and outdoor use
- Works without batteries or other power sources
- Please note that the Soil Moisture Meter only displays the correct value when used in conjunction with potting soil or compost around the root ball of the plant. The Soil Moisture Meter cannot be used if only mineral substrate such as LECHUZA-PON is used.
- After each measurement, remove the indicator from the soil immediately and clean it with a dry cloth. Prolonged contact with water or wet substrate can cause the measuring tip to rust, preventing accurate measurement.
